Inside a bathroom job

Wood-look plank tile floor installed with taped and spackled walls
Plank tile down, walls taped and ready for primer.
White shaker bathroom vanity with a quartz top and square brass pulls

Bathroom with purple moisture resistant board installed before tile
Before the tile: moisture resistant board, taped and flat.

The finished shower is only as good as what's behind it. The board goes up in the wet areas and gets taped and floated flat, so the tile goes on straight.

Rebuilding a shower floor

A shower floor that has gone bad comes out down to the liner, and a new bed goes in before any tile does.

Fresh mortar bed floated into the shower pan around the drain
New mortar bed floated in, ready for tile.

Everything outside the shower stays covered and taped off while we work.

Why people call us back

The owner is on site

Larry's on the job, running the work and jumping in with the crew. He's not the guy who prices it and then you never see him again.

We show up when we say we will

We set the schedule at the start and we stick to it. If something changes, you'll hear it from us first.

We keep the place clean

You're living here while we work. We're careful with your house and your stuff, and we clean up before we leave.

Free estimates, guaranteed work

The estimate doesn't cost you anything, and we stand behind our workmanship after the job's done.

“And he'll never cover something up that needs to be fixed. Instead, he will tell you what needs to be done now, so that you won't have to fix it again next year!”

Enrico Madonna, client for twenty years

Common questions

How much does a bathroom remodel cost?

It depends on the size of the room and what goes into it: the tile, the shower, the fixtures, and whether plumbing has to move. The estimate is free and lays it out before you commit to anything.

Why does the board behind the tile matter?

Purple board handles moisture better than regular drywall, and it gets taped and floated flat. Large format tile shows every high spot you leave behind.

Can you add radiant heat to a bathroom floor?

Yes. It goes in at the tile stage, so you've got to decide on it before we get there.

Do you handle the plumbing?

Yes. Licensed, insured plumbers we've worked with for years, and we keep them on schedule.

Can you redo a bathroom in a co-op?

Yes. We deal with the board requirements and the NYC rules, so your job doesn't sit stuck waiting on paperwork.

Thinking about redoing your bathroom?

Estimates are free, and we'll tell you straight what the job involves before you commit to anything.
